My name is Ken Barrett, I am a Clinical Psychotherapist practicing Integrative, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. I have been in private practice in Galway City since 2010.

I provide therapeutic treatment for men, women, young adults, couples and teenagers.

The counselling process often involves sharing intimate thoughts and feelings with an individual we know little about on a personal level. It may sound strange - daunting even – but this neutral environment will mean that you are able to explore your feelings without guilt or fear of judgement. If you are seeking support and advice from a Counsellor or Psychotherapist, it is always reassuring to know they are working to high standards of practice within the profession.

I include evidence based modalities such as IFS (Internal Family Systems), MBT (Mentalisation Based Treatment), DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Treatment) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Treatment).

I studied with The Tivoli Institute in Dublin and The Anna Freud Centre in London. I am an Accredited Member of IAHIP (Irish Association of Integrative and Humanistic Psychotherapy) IAHIP are a governing body who set and maintain the standards of relevant Psychotherapy training and practice in Ireland.

You do not need a letter of referral to work with me.
