FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Will Happen At My First Psychotherapy Appointment?

You will be welcomed and invited to sit down. You may choose to sit on an armchair across from me or you may choose to sit/lie on the couch at an angle to my chair. There are three ways we can start; You can ask anything you want about the way I work so you can get a better understand of what to expect, you can tell me about yourself and why you've come to therapy or we can start with a bit of both.

What Is The Cost Per Session?

Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes in duration and cost €60.00 per session.  Payment is made at the beginning of each session by either cash or bank transfer.  Receipts are provided on request.   Credit/Debit Card payments are not available at this time.

What Is Your Cancellation Policy?

My cancellation policy requires 24 hour notice of cancelled or re-scheduled appointments.  If I am not able to fill your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, then you will be responsible for payment of the full session fee.

What Is Your Policy On Confidentiality?

Your information is kept in strictest confidence.  No information may be released to anyone without your written permission and you can withdraw this permission at any time.  There are, however, some exceptions to this rule:

  • If I am made aware that a child is at risk of abuse or neglect;
  • If there is reason to believe that you are in danger of harming yourself or someone else;
  • Finally, if you are in litigation, I may have to comply with an order of the Court.
